Researcher at New America Foundation: India’s “chain-forbidden currency” approach lacks understanding of innovation

According to the Economic Times, Tanvi Ratna, a researcher at the New America Foundation and a researcher on blockchain policy, said that the government wants to eliminate the use of encrypted assets, but actively promotes blockchain technology. The technology can be used to non-intermediate transactions without encryption, which is a big danger signal from the beginning, lacking an understanding of innovation. The government working group only studied virtual currency, and did not divide basic technology into many common categories such as currency, securities, and utilities, as in the US securities and public utilities.
