According to Coindesk, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking for evidence of insider trading and securities fraud related to the 2017 blockchain strategy of the beverage company Long Island Iced Tea (LTEA). According to a search warrant first reported by Quartz, the FBI is trying to obtain encrypted information on a mobile phone seized by another company, Kelvin Medical, in another case involving securities fraud. After Oliver Lindsay and Gannon Giguiere were arrested for the case, the detectives found on the Lindsay iPhone that they thought it was based on the traces of encrypted telephone information. The clues of insider trading involve Long Island Iced Tea stock.
