84-year-old woman receives bitcoin ransomware and asks to pay $1,400 worth of bitcoin

According to The Next Web, recently, an 84-year-old woman from the United States, Arlene Kaganove, received a bitcoin ransomware request for a bitcoin worth $1,400. Arlene Kaganove said she had previously applied for a "MyPanera" reward card from the chain bakery Panera to get a free bagel on her next birthday. She then received an ransomware requesting her to pay a $1,800 bitcoin ransom. It is reported that Panera admitted that its website was hacked last year and customer data was leaked. This data includes the customer's name, email, physical address, and date of birth. The company claims that there are fewer than 10,000 affected customers.
