The judge ruled that the purchase of cryptocurrency by Chase Bank’s credit card does not necessarily count as cash advances.

According to Cointelegraph, New York Southern District Judge Katherine Polk Failla has ruled that the purchase of cryptocurrency by Chase Bank's credit card is not necessarily a cash advance, according to the contract of Chase. According to a comment and order document dated August 1st, the judge denied that Datong had dismissed the plaintiff's multiple allegations. At the heart of these allegations is that the bank charges a cash prepayment for the user to purchase a cryptocurrency using a Chase credit card. The plaintiffs were Brady Tucker, Ryan Hilton and Stanton Smith, who filed a class action lawsuit against bank giant Chase.
