Austin, USA, with $400,000 in funding, will explore the feasibility of the blockchain digital identity platform

According to Government Technology, the Innovation Office of Austin, the capital of Texas, received $40,000 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The funding will enable the city to work with local, national and international groups to test the feasibility of a blockchain-based digital identity platform. The city will explore how blockchain technology can help ensure the security of identity documents and help people access social and health services.
