Five suspects in Gold Coast cryptocurrency fraud were accused of fraud and money laundering

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, a Gold Coast-based cryptocurrency investment scam took more than 100 Australians for more than $2.7 million. Police said three men (aged 33, 44 and 56) and two women (aged 21 and 28, respectively) were sued for fraud, and they were part of a criminal group behind a cryptocurrency investment company. Fraud continues from 2017 to May 2019. The police believe there may be more victims and call for more information.
