Seoul, South Korea will launch six types of administrative services based on blockchain

According to the Yonhap News, by the end of the year, Seoul, South Korea will phase out six kinds of administrative services based on blockchain. This is based on the decision made by the Seoul Metropolitan Area Promotion Plan announced in October last year. Seoul City plans to develop 14 blockchain-based administrative services by 2022. The Seoul citizen card will introduce a regional-based unified certification system. The goal of labor rights protection services is to sign electronic labor contracts, join four major social insurances, manage work experience, etc., and manage them through blockchain to improve the credibility of information. The municipal government stated that during the development process, the opinions of the advisory group composed of citizens will be actively adopted.
