Wal-Mart's patent application again declares interest in blockchain support for drones

Wal-Mart recently applied for a patent that reiterated its interest in blockchain support for drones. In January 2019, Wal-Mart applied to the US Patent and Trademark Office for a patent entitled "Using Blockchain Cloning UAVs" and published the patent on August 1. According to the patent, blockchain technology is used to transmit information to other drones, such as drone identification numbers, flight altitudes, flight speeds, flight routes, battery information, or loading capabilities.
