The New York State Court ruled that it has jurisdiction over Bitfinex to allow the Office of the Attorney General of New York to continue investigations

The New York State Supreme Court has decided that it has jurisdiction over cases between the Office of the Attorney General of New York (NYAG) and the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex. According to a document, the court now allows NYAG to continue its investigation. Bitfinex had previously filed an appeal with the court to stop NYAG from investigating its allegedly mixed funds and misleading investors about its dollar reserve stable currency, Tether. In response, NYAG believes that it is too early for the court to deal with jurisdiction issues in ongoing investigations. The court has now withdrawn this argument and ruled that it can indeed rule on this issue.
