Spy Exchange Cryptopia Releases User Asset Updates: Acquired Encrypted Assets Owned by Platform Customers

According to AMBCrypto, Cryptopia, the New Zealand crypto-equity exchange, has filed for US bankruptcy protection after a $16 million loss from hacking in January. On August 21, Cryptopia posted a statement on its Twitter about the steps that user assets and platforms will take on this basis. The statement said that they have successfully acquired data stored in the Arizona data center, which enables the platform to identify the cryptocurrency assets held by the exchange's customers, and they have begun to transfer funds to the "safe" created after the hacking in January. In the non-hacker environment, the wallet stated that it was intended to prevent another attack, because the source of the hacking attack in January 2019 has not yet been determined.
