US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo opposes anonymous cryptocurrency transactions, saying it will "reduce global security"

According to The Block, US Secretary of State Trump’s adviser, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, said in an interview with CNBC on Tuesday that he hopes the world will not move toward an anonymous cryptocurrency transaction because it will “reduce global security”. Pompeo said: "We are very aware of the risks of anonymous trading. We learned this from the events of 9/11 and the terrorist activities that occurred in the previous 15 years. At that time, we did not have good tracking methods, and we were unable to understand the flow of funds and who was transferring funds. …we need to maintain a global financial system to ensure security."
