White House report: virtual currency is used to purchase fentanyl

According to CoinDesk, on August 22, the White House issued two US drug procurement proposals, mentioning cryptocurrency. Announcements for financial institutions and digital payment platforms claim that convertible virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Monero, are used to illegally purchase offending items. The drug fentanyl is highlighted in the offending items, and the report contains the use of these convertible virtual currencies to purchase items such as tracking wallets, IP addresses, and transaction hashes during fentanyl.
