Brazilian Federal Police raided investment bank BTG PActual

The Brazilian Federal Police raided the address of the headquarters of BANCO BTG PActual SA (BPAC3.SA), the largest independent investment bank in Latin America, and its founder Andre Esteves on Friday. The statement said that Maria Das Gracas Foster, former CEO of Brazilian state-owned oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4.SA), is also the target. The raid was related to the sale of shares in African oil fields to BTG PActual. BTG PActual did not immediately comment on the matter. The bank's stock fell 15% in pre-market trading. Note: BTG Pactual focuses on areas such as blockchain. Recently, BTG Pactual joined the Post-Transaction Distributed Account Book (PTDL) Organizing Committee. In July, BTG Pactual and Dubai-based Dharma Capital announced that it plans to use the Tezos blockchain for STO, including the ongoing REITBZ STO; the estimated token issuance exceeds $1 billion.
