Report: Multiple banks in Australia allow users to purchase cryptocurrencies

According to Bitcoin.com, a spokesperson for Westpac, Australia's second-largest bank by market value, said the company "does not restrict the use of accounts or credit cards to purchase cryptocurrencies, as long as the transaction complies with its legal requirements and terms." Westpac's St George Bank, Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA all implement this policy. Australia's third largest bank, ANZ, has also banned customers from buying cryptocurrencies.
