Chen Lei, Block Chain Club of Peking University: The application of blockchain requires a lot of interdisciplinary cooperation

According to Sina Finance, Chen Lei, secretary general of the Peking University Blockchain Club, said in his speech today that there are bottlenecks in the innovation of blockchain. There are three areas that need more attention. First, the application of blockchains requires a lot of interdisciplinary cooperation. For example, the application of blockchain requires full automation of business processes, otherwise there is no way to implement the core capabilities of blockchain accounting. The information on the blockchain needs to be collected efficiently and cost-effectively before being chained. This may require interdisciplinary cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, 5G, the Internet of Things and even the biological sciences. The requirements for interdisciplinary talents are also relatively high. Second, the current application of blockchain still stays at the point of distributed database, and most of them are to B, which is basically used by organizations, and there are few applications that cover C to cover individuals. The current application is mainly focused on the retrieval of data from the database, the node itself does not participate in accounting, there is still a distance from the real blockchain application. Third, the blockchain industry and regulation need to be further integrated. At present, some applications of the blockchain in the financial sector are partly good, and some are suspected of fraudulent illegal fundraising and other financial chaos. On the one hand, supervision should encourage the development of blockchain technology, on the one hand, it must clear the bad industry chaos. This requires regulation and industry to work together to develop standards. Only when standards are established can we avoid a one-size-fits-all policy.
