Recently, the intellectual property industry media IPRdaily and the incoPat Innovation Index Research Center jointly released the “Top 100% of Global Blockchain Enterprises Invention Patents in the First Half of 2019”. The list ranks the number of global blockchain technology invention patent applications published in the first half of 2019. Compared with 2018, the total number of invention patent applications for enterprises has increased significantly. The data extraction time range is from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019. The top 100 companies in the list are mainly from 11 countries and regions, with China accounting for 67% and the United States accounting for 16%. Among them, Alibaba ranked first with 322 patents, Ping An ranked second with 274 patents, and Nchain ranked third with 241 patents.
