On August 28th, Decker, a cryptocurrency project, launched a cryptocurrency that focuses on privacy and claimed that the token is superior to its competitors Monero, Zcash, Beam and Grin. Decred said it has found a “middle zone” between the extremes of Bitcoin and other privacy currencies, offering “appropriate privacy”. Decred explained that its privacy currency requires only a few hundred lines of code to implement core logic, while other privacy implementations require thousands or tens of thousands of lines of code. And "less code means less damage." Decred added that its privacy feature is based on CoinShuffle ++, a peer-to-peer token-mixing protocol that uses "simple code and proven encryption."
