CME Managing Director: The number of CME Bitcoin futures trading contracts per day has increased by 132% over the same period last year.

According to Forbes, Tim McCourt, managing director of the Chicago Commodity Futures Exchange (CME) Group, said in an email on August 23 that the number of bitcoin futures contracts traded on average per day has been 7,237 contracts. Compared with the same period last year, it increased by 132%. In addition, McCourt said CME has never considered interrupting its bitcoin futures trading products as Bitcoin plunged throughout the 2018 and part of the market in 2019.
