Franklin Templeton proposes to the US SEC to pass the Stellar Network Record Fund share of the government money market fund

US asset management giant Franklin Templeton Investment Company submitted a preliminary prospectus for the government money market fund to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 3, which will invest in a variety of products, such as US government securities, repurchase Agreements and blockchain-based stocks. However, the fund will not invest in cryptocurrency. In addition, Franklin Templeton chose to use the Stellar network to record ownership of the fund's shares. The fund's investment manager believes that blockchain-based stocks will increase transparency and shorten settlement time.
