CME encryption index provider CF Benchmarks wins EU benchmark license

According to CoinDesk, on September 13, the Financial Market Conduct Authority (FCA) authorized the CME encryption index provider CF Benchmarks as a manager to confirm that financial institutions can be in the European Benchmark Regulations (EU BMR) on January 1, 2020. After the full effect of the day, the company's index is used in any European financial product. At this point, CF Benchmarks has become the first cryptocurrency index provider to be recognized as a benchmark authority under the European Benchmark Rules. The company primarily provides CME Group's index for its bitcoin futures contracts.
