Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, researches the application of blockchain technology to the honey industry

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi are studying the application of blockchain technology to the honey industry to check for adulteration. Researchers say the technology will not only help improve transparency at all stages of honey logistics, but will also help track the origin of the product and verify fraud. It is reported that the project is part of an initiative by private companies to fund Indian Institute of Technology students and staff to conduct research.
