The Los Angeles Mayor's Office Hosts the Blockchain Entrepreneurship Competition

The Los Angeles Mayor's Office of Budget and Innovation and the City's Information Technology Agency (ITALA) and Goren Holm Ventures (GHV) jointly organized a blockchain entrepreneurship competition called "Block Tank." The winner will receive a minimum of $25,000 in investment from GHV and an opportunity to conduct a $25,000 pilot project in the city. Areas that meet the pilot conditions include environmental sustainability, online voting, and secure resident ID cards. The City of London will select four start-up companies to be judged by the committee, which includes billionaire investor and bitcoin supporter Tim Draper.
