Kraken and other five blockchain companies intend to apply for a Wyoming new bank license

By the summer of 2020, about five new blockchain banks will be stationed in Wyoming, and the San Francisco cryptocurrency exchange Kraken will be one of them. With the opening of new bank license applications on October 1, these banks may bring up to $20 billion in assets. In 2019, Wyoming passed a law allowing the state to set up a “special purpose depository institution”, which became the first financial market to serve “insufficient services” such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, and wage loans. In the federal member states, legislators are currently working to improve the law.
