The benefit will be awarded to the person holding the company's shares as of September 30, 2019, together with the group's existing benefits. For those holding a Coincheck account, Monex will award bitcoin worth 500 yen ($4.65). According to the statement of the day, the group has not yet decided whether it is necessary to grant virtual currency as part of the shareholder's benefits after the end of the fiscal year, that is, after March 31, 2020. The company said that this new benefit will be granted to all Monex shareholders, regardless of the size of the shares held. However, only shareholders who hold the Coincheck account of the Monex virtual currency exchange will receive this benefit. The statement said, "Shareholders need to open an account at Coincheck before 11:59 local time on March 31, 2020, and complete the application form for the shareholder welfare application station, in order to receive the equivalent of 500 yen in early April 2020.
