The court ruled that Bitfinex may not submit relevant documents for alleged misappropriation of the Tether reserve.

An appeals court in New York ruled that Bitfinex does not currently need to continue to hand over the documents to the Office of the Attorney General of New York (OAG). According to a court order issued on Tuesday, the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court temporarily retained the previous ruling of New York Supreme Court Justice Joel Cohen. Cohen ruled in August that Tether and its associated entities must present documents that would give Bitfinex a $900 million loan. A NYAG spokesperson told CoinDesk, "The ban on the flow of funds between Tether and Bitfinex is still valid and I look forward to filing a case in court because we are seeking the ruling of Judge Cohen to be maintained and continue our investigation."
