The US House of Representatives passed a new bill calling for FinCEN to study blockchain

On September 19th, the US House of Representatives passed a bill called "Innovative Law to Promote Enforcement of Law Enforcement", calling on the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to study its use of "innovative technologies" (including blockchains). The bill has now been referred to the Senate for consideration. The bill requires FinCEN's director to consider how blockchain and other technological advances can improve the operations of the agency.
