On September 25th, online lending company SoFi officially provided cryptocurrency trading services to its more than 800,000 users through the SoFiInvest platform. Users can initially buy and sell three cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH and LTC. According to the Odaily Planet Daily, SoFi was previously working with Coinbase to conduct a beta test of the service. It is reported that cryptocurrency transactions through SoFi Invest will be conducted in 36 states including Alabama, California and Ohio. Currently, the platform is not open to New Yorkers. According to SoFi, users can't extract their cryptocurrencies into an external wallet.
