Scammers extort BBC worth nearly $2.5 million from British citizens

According to Cointelegraph, the scammers pretended to be the private secretary of Queen Elizabeth II and sent a papermail to the British, intended to “borrow” 450,000 to 2 million pounds (about 550,000 to 2.5 million US dollars) from British citizens. Recipients are required to send money through Bitcoin, claiming that the funds will be used to maintain the local economy after the Brexit.
