Foreign media: Britain and the United States will sign an agreement to allow British police to access user information on platforms such as WhatsApp

According to an agreement between the United Kingdom and the United States that will be signed next month, the British police will be able to force the US-based social media platform to hand over user information, including the "end-to-end encryption" information. In March of this year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised to encrypt Facebook's key information services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. The British government has been skeptical about Facebook's encryption program, requiring the company to create a "back door" that will allow intelligence agencies to enter information platforms that involve national security. According to the proposed treaty, neither the United States nor the United Kingdom will investigate the citizens of the other party.
