South Korea's three major mobile operators will cooperate to launch a digital version of the driver's license app based on blockchain technology

The Ministry of Science and Technology and the ICT Ministry of Korea approved a plan to launch an application (APP) for the three major mobile operators in Korea, SK, KT and LG U+, to store a digital version of the driver's license on the customer's mobile phone. The South Korean police also approved the move. Drivers will be able to scan an existing driver's license using a new app called Pass. These will be approved by the police software and uploaded to a blockchain platform using the police server.
