On October 5th, the researchers believe that a malicious botnet costing only $160 may interact with 2,000 machines per week in an attempt to steal encrypted wallets and personal information. US network security company Prevailion published an article on its blog detailing how the MasterMana botnet has been active since December 2018 until September 24. The botnet may attack 2,000 machines per week, so this year it may have interacted with more than 72,000 machines.
