Bitfinex: Documents should not be collected for the Office of the Attorney General of New York during the appeal

Lawyers from Bitfinex, Tether and other affiliates wrote to the Supreme Court of New York on Tuesday that the request of the New York Attorney General (NYAG) office for a $900 million loan between Bitfinex and Tether should be rejected. Attorney Bitfinex stated that the NYAG office did not invoke any authority to support its claim, further indicating that the state prosecutor seemed to think that “the burden of collecting was meaningless”. Having said that, the letter acknowledges that just collecting documents requires a lot of money.
