Encrypted ransomware Sodinokibi has profited millions of dollars and is in contact with GandCrab

On October 14th, security researchers concluded that the criminals had profited millions of dollars through the ransomware by tracking the bitcoin payments of victims of the ransomware Sodinokibi. It is reported that Sodinokibi is also known as REvil, which first appeared in April, shortly after the closure of another widely used ransomware GandCrab. Although Sodinokibi is not necessarily a direct continuation of GandCrab, the researchers found that there are codes and other similarities between the two, suggesting that there may be a connection between them.
