Libra Association will appoint a board of directors at the board meeting

According to the Wall Street Journal, members of the Facebook cryptocurrency project Libra will review the charter and appoint a board of directors at a board meeting in Geneva. Libra said this month that details will be given after a meeting of 1,500 “entities” attended, and these entities all expressed “strong interest” to participate in the project. On October 11, payment giants MasterCard, Visa, Stripe and Mercado Pago and e-commerce giant eBay announced their withdrawal from the Libra project. The founding members of the Libra Association (currently the remaining 22) will hold the first Libra Council meeting in Geneva on October 14th, which will generate a formal charter, and each member will sign the new agreement.
