Bank of Japan Governor: Some progress has been made on Libra's regulatory issues, but it has not yet been fully resolved

On October 18th, the finance ministers from the G20's major economies began a two-day meeting on Thursday to discuss Sino-US trade relations and Libra's regulatory requirements for Facebook's proposed digital currency. Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda attended the meeting with Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso. Kuroda said to reporters earlier that day that he had seen "progress" on these two issues, but they did not completely solve it. The overall risk to the world economy remains high.
