CME Group officially announced the introduction of Bitcoin options in the first quarter of 2020, and announced relevant details

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) officially announced that it will launch bitcoin options in the first quarter of 2020. According to CME, each option contract will be based on a bitcoin futures contract (which consists of five more bitcoins); the contract will be quoted in US dollars with a minimum quoted unit of $25 (the minimum quoted unit is $5) The transaction will start from 5:00 pm ET on Sunday, and end at 4:00 pm Central Friday. In addition, the Bitcoin option will be settled as a futures contract at the end of the transaction.
