Shanghai International Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Information Service Platform Unveiled, Using Blockchain Technology to Realize Information Traceability

The Shanghai International Trade Single Window “Blockchain+” press conference was held on the morning of November 7th at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). At the meeting, the Shanghai International Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Information Service Platform jointly developed by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce (Shanghai Port Office) and the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration was officially unveiled. This is the first platform for Shanghai International Trade Single Window to provide in-depth services for a single vertical industry.
According to reports, the platform uses blockchain technology to achieve distributed ledger, data anti-tampering and information traceability, providing end-to-end and visualization from source to consumption for upstream and downstream enterprises in the imported medical device and pharmaceutical industries. "Supply chain information services have improved regulatory efficiency and accuracy, effectively reducing regulatory costs and corporate burdens."
