Bloomberg: The US Internal Revenue Service is more worried about people who are unwilling to open digital currency transactions

The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) contacted more than 10,000 cryptocurrency investors this summer. Recent notices issued to taxpayers have further reinforced the agency’s message that the agency is more concerned with people who do not disclose digital currency transactions at all, rather than those who try to comply but miss opportunities. CoinTracker co-founder Chandan Lodha said that one user had been told by the IRS that he owed thousands of dollars, but after providing a complete transaction record, he actually got a tax refund.
