"Silk Road" dark net market sellers admit to using money to wash $19 million in bitcoin

The New York Southern District Prosecutor announced a plea agreement with Hugh Brian Haney, who was accused of using the bitcoin to wash nearly $20 million in early 2018. Hugh Brian Haney is one of the sellers of the Silk Road in the Dark Net market. According to the prosecution, Haney is a "senior member" of the drug agency called Pharmville. He reportedly received nearly 4,000 bitcoins from his account with the Silk Road as of February 2012.
According to the indictment, Haney has sold fentanyl, OxyContin and other narcotic drugs. US lawyer Geoffrey S. Berman said in a statement: "Hugh Brian Haney uses the Silk Road to sell drugs to people around the world, and then he spends more than $19 million on cryptocurrencies."
