The government of Maharashtra, India will conduct four further blockchain-related proof-of-concept studies

According to The Hindu, the government of Maharashtra has announced that it has decided to conduct four further proof of concept (PoCs) studies to prove the feasibility of blockchain technology. Previously, case studies in the areas of organ transplantation, dosing, digital certification and land records have been successfully completed. Officials said the new study will be conducted in areas such as document management, regional transportation and health-related records. The Government of Maharashtra has established a 27-member research committee to oversee the progress of the new PoCs, including officials from the Inland Revenue Department, Forestry, Public Health and Home Affairs. The committee's mission includes not only ensuring that research is completed on time, but also ensuring that blockchain technology is used in various sectors in the future.
