Sun Yi, director of the blockchain laboratory of the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences: The current blockchain development faces three major challenges

According to People's Daily News, on April 20th, the “Hainan Blockchain Technology Seminar” was held at Hainan University. Sun Yi, director of the blockchain laboratory of the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said at the meeting that in 2018, the blockchain has passed the stage of squeezing the bubble. After this stage, the blockchain golden age is not far behind. The current blockchain development faces three major challenges: first, the lag of basic theoretical research; second, the lack of control of key technologies; and third, the lack of key industry applications. Many problems with the blockchain are similar to those encountered by the Internet decades ago. The development of blockchain needs to aim at the future value of Internet demand, with the blockchain ecological construction as the main line, not only pay attention to the originality of theoretical methods, but also emphasize the practicality of research results.
