The blockchain analysis platform, Chainalysis, is building a cryptographic space risk data clearinghouse for financial institutions – the new platform, called Kryptos, is designed to help organizations analyze regulatory risk and build risk assessment models. This is Chainalysis's first product specifically for institutional investors, joining the exchange-oriented anti-money laundering software KYT and Reactor to help investigators track criminal money flows. According to Jonathan Levin, co-founder of Chainalysis, these products help governments, encryption companies and investigators analyze their cryptoeconomic sectors. However, while these entities have a larger encryption ecosystem, there is no clear entry point for investors interested in encryption, including banks and consultants who have not yet participated. And this may hinder investment. The solution given by Chainalysis is to create a "trusted and referenced" data set for new market entrants.
