Although the "dark net" has the characteristics of anonymity and concealment, the "dark net" is not an "extra-legal place" and a "a sin-free paradise." In response to the illegal and criminal activities on the "dark net", the public security department's network security department has repeatedly detected a number of cases using the "dark net" to commit crimes.
At the press conference held by the Ministry of Public Security on the morning of November 14, Wang Wei, director of the Network Security Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, said that since the beginning of this year, 16 cases involving "dark nets" have been established nationwide, and they have been arrested for engaging in "dark net" illegal activities. After that, through the "God of Wealth" software, the password of the email account that can log in to the Apple mobile phone ID is filtered out, which is used to log in to the iphone4 mobile phone that is rented, and bind the illegally obtained credit card information to realize the payment function. After that, the above iphone4 mobile phone is used to help some game players to recharge, and the game player is charged a recharge fee lower than the market price to illegally profit.
Zhang Congxiang confessed that the CVV information he purchased on the "dark net" generally purchased 10 or 20 pieces at a time, each of which was 5 yuan and 10 yuan.
In another case, in June 2018, the defendant Wu Xiang (pseudonym) discovered that after the “false recharge” loophole in the global blockchain digital asset trading platform “IDAX”, the accused Deng Li (pseudonym) used false identity. Registered on the platform and real-name authentication.
Later, Wu wanted to use the online tool on the "dark net" to attack the "fake recharge" vulnerability on the platform and add recharge data to falsely recharge the currency (USTD) into its account. Wu wants to purchase 15 bitcoins and 232 Ethereum coins from the TEDA coins obtained by false recharge and extract them into their own electronic wallets, resulting in a direct economic loss of 40,000 yuan for the technical maintenance of the "IDAX" platform.
The "dark net" is also used in the drug trade. Judging from the 21st Century Business Herald, from May 2nd to 14th, 2018, the Chengdu Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau seized the ecstasy purchased by the defendant Miyazawa from a foreign “darkmarket” shopping platform called “DreamMarket”. Ten international mails for drugs such as cannabis leaf.
In the face of the law, the "dark net" is nowhere to be seen. A number of judgments showed that the defendant's dark-net transaction records were seized by the investigating authorities.
