The National Knowledge Bureau publicly solicits comments on the revised draft of patent examination rules in new areas such as blockchain

On November 12th, in order to fully implement the spirit of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights, respond to the needs of innovative entities to further clarify the new format patent review rules in new fields such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, business rules and methods. The State Intellectual Property Office drafted and formed the "Revision Draft of the ninth chapter of the second part of the Patent Examination Guidelines (Draft for Comment)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft for Comment"). In order to extensively solicit opinions from all walks of life, the draft for comment and its drafting instructions are now published. Relevant units and people from all walks of life can choose one of the methods of e-mail, fax and letter to make specific comments on the revision and improvement of the draft for comments before December 11, 2019.
