Brooklyn businessman sentenced to 18 months in prison for alleged ICO fraud

According to CoinDesk, Brooklyn businessman Maksim Zaslavskiy was sentenced to 18 months in prison in a federal prison for alleged securities fraud. The case was launched around two fraudulent investment plans of Zaslavskiy. During the 2017 ICO boom, Zaslavskiy sold investors tokens endorsed by the assets of the two companies, but the underlying assets of the two tokens did not exist.
