New ransomware DeathRansom asks for 0.1 BTC ransom, says files can be permanently encrypted

A new Bitcoin ransomware, DeathRansom, permanently encrypts files. To date, there is no information on how the malware spread, but the number of victims continues to grow after the initial peak on November 20. A ransom notice issued by BleepingComputer states that victims must send 0.1 BTC to the ransomware within 12 hours to decrypt their files. If no payment is made within the deadline, the victim's decryption password will be deleted. The malware even comes with a small instruction on how to buy Bitcoin, linking to the local bitcoin cryptocurrency exchange LocalBitcoins.
