On November 28, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of High-Quality Trade. The "Opinions" requires the organic integration of the Internet, the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain and trade to accelerate the cultivation of new momentum. Zhou Mi, deputy director of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, said in an interview that China's foreign trade is currently in the process of transformation and upgrading and is facing the task of fostering new competitive advantages and developing new kinetic energy. Technological progress, especially the development of the digital economy, is accelerating, and the digital economy itself has brought technological innovation and advantages to promote the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade. At the same time, international trade is an exchange of labor and resource endowment between countries. Therefore, international trade itself cannot be separated from technological progress and economic development. At present, the development of e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce in China is very fast, but its popularity in international trade is not enough. Therefore, the document is equivalent to pointing out the direction for the next step of the digital economy's integration into foreign trade, which will also be the general trend of global foreign trade development.
