IBM receives new blockchain-related patent to prevent thieves from using drones to steal logistics packages

According to CoinDesk news, recently, IBM has obtained a patent related to the Internet of Things and blockchain technology. It is reported that the patent uses IoT sensors to track the height of the package and upload the data to the blockchain platform. The patent is intended to deal with the increasing popularity of drones and online shopping, where some people use drones to anonymously take delivery packages. However, there is no indication that IBM has started to build operational equipment. According to the patent, the blockchain platform is the preferred implementation project of the patent, but it is also possible to replace the blockchain platform with other databases.
