Parity developer: ETC hard fork Aztlan does not apply EIP-1884, may be attacked

Parity's Rust developer Wei Tang stated on Twitter today that some community members are working on the Ethereum classic ETC hard fork Aztlan, and I don't think this is a good hard fork and will cause controversy because EIP- is not applied- 1884 actually left the attack vector in an open state. The real worry is that the paper describing the attack was actually public. It's only a matter of time before an attacker finds it. As long as the attacker spends thousands of dollars, it can damage the throughput of the network.
