Louisiana suffers second cryptocurrency ransomware attack this year, most services still offline

Louisiana suffered its second ransomware attack during the year. The attack can be traced back to November 18. However, progress has been modest after almost two weeks. Although some services can be accessed again, most services are still offline. Several important agencies are still affected, including OMV, the State Department of Health, and the Department of Public Safety. Earlier in July, Louisiana suffered the first ransomware attack of the year, and both attacks were performed by Ryuk cryptocurrency ransomware.
